Last week we were lucky enough to work with Wymondham College on their ‘Let Students Shine’ scheme. This was run by the charity 'Shine' and supported by the Time Education Supplement which aimed to deliver positive experiences for young men and saw students selected for a project covering two terms.
We carried out a CSI day on the first day of the project which was based on Right Angle’s award-winning activity, ‘The Killing’.
The children taking part were able to experience the challenges faced by Detectives & Crime Scene Investigators. It was led by senior Ex-Scotland Yard Detectives and gave them the opportunity to solve cases through the actual methods employed by real Crime Scene Investigators.
To make the experience more realistic they were given body suits, masks and gloves and involved the following:
- Taking and removing of fingerprints
- Forensic dentistry
- Blood spatter pattern analysis
